An overlay is a thin cementitious topping applied to existing concrete. The overlay bonds to the concrete surface in an effort to refurbish old or ugly concrete. It is a cost effective alternative to excavating or removing the old concrete. An overlay can be stamped, stained, and decorated just like normal concrete. It can also be applied to pool decks, sidewalks, and other concrete surfaces subjected to bare foot traffic during the intense summer sunlight to produce a cooler textured surface that does not burn to walk on. Overlays are very durable (over 5000 p.s.i) making them ideal for parking areas or entrances subjected to high vehicular traffic.
